The upcoming New Moon in Aries will also be a hybrid eclipse, which means that a light ring, or a ring of fire, will present itself as the Moon passes by the Sun. Eclipses occur when the light from one celestial body is obscured by the passage of another celestial body. Essentially, the energy disbursements from the Sun will be altered by the passing of the Moon on April 20th.
The astrological translation of this occurrence is that our emotional bodies will affect our ego, identity and character, and vice versa, as the New Moon occurs.
The New Moon will occur at 29 degrees Aries — a critical, last chance degree. Most likely, our emotions will have a “poking” effect where they seem to keep nudging at us. The content of the emotional reaction differs for each of us but ultimately filters into the unattended self, the parts of ourselves that we have put off for too long. Emotions that arise within the last decan of Aries convey an urgency to take action.
This reflective moon will present us with memories that expand our emotional awareness towards emotional security and the places we can go to find a feeling equivalent to home.
As eclipses have ties to the nodal axis, the north node in the differing sign of Taurus will also introduce the elements of materialism, beauty & routine — weather or not they contribute a sufficient amount of fun and joy for us. We will be able to discern the emotional adjustments that need to occur so we can arrive at harmonious balance between the self & others.
The egoic body holds these reflections in its ring of fire as a promise for the future.
